Australian Open Bowls 2021
The Australian Open is the biggest lawn bowls festival in the world, held annually since 2015 on the Gold Coast: the “lawn bowls capital of Australia”.
Over two weeks, more than 4500 lawn bowls matches are played at 13 top host clubs up and down the coastline, culminating in quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals in a range of categories.
This year’s program will be no different, boasting Men’s and Women’s Singles, Pairs and Fours, plus Over 60s Men’s and Women’s Pairs, Vision Impaired Pairs, Bowlers with a Disability Singles and Pairs, and Under 18 Boy’s and Girl’s Singles.
Matches will take place daily, with a huge prize purse totalling $275,000.
The full list of Australian Open Bowls host clubs includes Broadbeach Bowls Club, Burleigh Heads Bowls Club, Club Helensvale, Club Robina, Coolangatta Bowls Club, Gold Coast Bowls and Community Club, Nerang Bowls Club, Mermaid Beach Bowls Club, Mudgeeraba Bowls Club, Club Musgrave, Paradise Point Bowls Club, Southport Bowls Club and Tugun Bowls Club.
